We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to work with the Safaniya Onshore Producing Engineering Division (SOPED) under the Safaniya Onshore Producing Department.

The SOPED provides operation engineering support and technical assistance to Safaniya Onshore Producing Facilities. This support includes day-to-day monitoring and analysis of plant equipment performance, process efficiency, control systems operation, review of new system design, risk assessment, engineering packages review and commissioning of new projects and the mechanical condition of all rotating equipment at onshore facilities.



The candidate is expected to be able to perform the following:

Plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data, and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of very complex engineering problems.

The candidate is expected to be able to perform the following:

Support the development and formulates the basis for engineering studies in any of several basic or special engineering fields by analyzing and evaluating all data pertinent to problems.

Evaluates data as to scope, effect on existing installations, economic value, and long range planning and budgetary considerations.

Be involved in review activities of project proposal that includes the development of scope, functions, interrelationships, integration, physical solution definition, cost estimate, etc.

Recommends new installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within broad fields of endeavor.

Develop scope and description of technology items, and leads the implementation and operation of developed solutions in the field.

Handles process studies or design modifications in utilities, oil handling facilities, and occasionally called upon to design or evaluate new process installations.
