: The Customer Service Specialist acts as a liaison between the in-house physician recruiters, the providers (physicians) that are being credentialed and/or booked and the facilities, groups and clients that are counting on the company to staff them according to their needs. The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for ensuring the physician completes the internal credentialing process which includes working with the physician to complete their application, primary source verification and references. If there are any red flags during the process they are responsible for contacting the Risk Management Department for further analysis. The Customer Service Specialist must also assist the Medical Staff Office with the privileging of the physician. The ultimate goal of the Customer Service Specialist is to assist in verifying all the necessary requirements for a physician to start their employment on time.
