This position is for a person who can provide consultation and expertise in training program development and evaluation in both instructor-led and learner-centric environments. This person will oversee and control major projects to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs, and serve as a team leader, project controller, senior designer or work director for major projects in the fields of English language/math/science/job skills operations and maintenance/crafts in development of curricula and tests, and perform conversion of instructional material to e-format and mobile formats.



You will be required to perform the following:

All duties common to the group leader level as established by Training & Development (T&D) management. Accept periodic assignments as the acting unit supervisor as directed by T&D management.
Direct the activities of 8-20 Unit and consultant staff in the planning and execution of several major program development and evaluation projects.
Direct 3-5 project teams in the development and evaluation of programs of instruction, tests, and certification instruments for the company's industrial and technical work forces.
Provide consultation and high-level professional expertise to T&D management on proposed programs, policy changes, MoC and in the evaluation of current activities.
Interpret corporate and T&D policy and ensure that all work activities under his/her control adhere to and align with current directives. Recommend policy changes to management as appropriate.
Establish work priorities based on company requirements. Staff and schedue project activities accordingly.
Develop schedules and budget estimates, prepare formal proposals for projects under your control for the approval of T&D management; monitor and report progress of projects against approved plans.
Monitor contract activity for assigned projects. May prepare and/or review economic and business justifications, technical scopes of work, and participate in technical bid evaluation and contract negotiation.

Evaluate suitability of regular new hires and consultant candidates and make recommendations for employment against project requirements and required skillsets.
Ensure the ongoing knowledge sharing/transfer and professional development of staff in your work group through developing effective PMP/ IDP enrollment in appropriate leadership courses, staff development workshops, and business assignments; develop and administer in-house staff training programs as necessitated by strategic business goals and other drivers.
Research and analyze future training and evaluation requirements for the company and prepare reports, studies, and proposals for management review. Promote learning research and development activities and initiatives with T&D management, and provide steering and feedback.
Prepare and present presentations for corporate-level meetings (T&D Steering Committee, Area training steering committees).
Ensure quality measures and safety focus are fundamental to all activities related to training materials development, management and administration
