The Software Engineering team leads the development and enhancement of Self-Service systems for the Travel industry and adjacent markets. Our portfolio includes solutions for Airlines with offerings that include CUSS platforms, kiosk applications, airline check-in applications and mobile applications. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and a series of successes as a Scrum Master and Project Manager to be the servant leader for a team of high performance, success driven engineers who will be building our next generation of Solutions and cloud offerings.

Primary Responsibilities 

	Provide guidance to the team on Scrum Values, Practices, and Rules; essential adherence to Scrum methodologies
	Facilitate various Scrum activities such as: Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
	Facilitate daily Scrum activities such as: Stand-Up’s, updates to Burn-Down spreadsheets and charts, Backlog reviews, as well as impromptu meetings as needed
	Remove roadblocks reported by the team, which could require cross-team collaboration and or escalation, possibly up to executive management
	Facilitate a good and respectful Scrum environment, conditioning and empowering the team to be self-managed
	Communicate and works directly with the client Product Owner to consistently maintain the Product Backlog, handle changes both to the product backlog as well as changes to the executing sprint
	Create and maintains risk and issue logs, including working with appropriate parties to create mitigation and corrective action plans with communication to the team, product owner, and executive management
	Maintain and publish Scrum metrics (e.g. velocity and burn-down)
	Build team cohesion and fosters good communication between various development teams
	Measure and improve team productivity
	Work with business team to ensure product backlog is visible and prioritize the list to generate higher business value Communicate all stakeholders are informed of schedules and timelines, statuses, issues, mitigations and all other information necessary or requested
	Maintain a manner of leadership and flexibility that diffuses pressure and promotes a team atmosphere
	Assist in the creation of processes and procedures with input from other product development teams
	Maintain expertise in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes within the department's scope
	Maintain a working knowledge of Client's applications and system integration and is able to understand changes in order to anticipate cross-system or cross-process impacts
	Support an open, learning, and progressive environment to allow the team's exploration of new solutions
	Monitor and ensure corporate policies or project rules are followed
	Ensure right mix of personalities or skills in the project team composition

Required Qualifications 

	BS in CS or other related disciplined is preferred
	2+ years of experience with Scrum methodology
	2+ years of experience in project management
	6+ years of SW development/engineering experience
	Scrum Master Certification
	Good and fundamental understanding of product and sprint backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and work breakdowns
	Strong negotiation, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills
	Strong knowledge, skills, and ability working in a collaborative team environment
	High maturity of diplomacy and ability to see and rationalize multiple points of view
	Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a diverse leadership team

Preferred Qualifications 

	PMI PMP certification
	Scrum backlog and Sprint and how they are tracked, work burned-down, velocity metrics derived and tasks decomposed
	Basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
	Understand other processes and methodologies and speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
	Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
	Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
	Familiarity with IATA common use standards
	Travel solution experience (SITA, ARINC, IBM, IER or similar)
