Job Summary:  
Peace River Center is seeking a dynamic BC/BE Psychiatrist Bilingual (Spanish)preferred, not required, for an established community mental health center. Must have completed an accredited Psychiatry Residency Training program and Fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. Requires a Florida License as an MD or DO. DEA registration required.  Performs psychiatric diagnostic evaluations. Provides pharmacological management of psychiatric disorders.   Primary location in Lakeland, Florida. Caseload is primarily outpatient children and adolescents, may include adult patients as needed.  Requires weekend on-call coverage for 30 bed CSU with 1:5 rotation. Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with training and experience.

	Provides psycho-education to clients and their families as needed.
	Participates in Peer Review.
	Member of the Medical Services Panel.

Qualifications:

Education:
Must have graduated from an accredited medical school and have completed an accredited Psychiatry Residency Training program.

Experience:
No experience post residency is required.  However, post residency experience in a Community Mental Health setting is preferred.         

Certifications:
Florida License as a medical physician.
Certification under the Controlled Substances registration, with a DEA number
Must meet all requirements for credentialing within the agency


Training:
Completing of continuing Medical Education as required for licensure in the State of Florida: First year of licensure  Risk management, Domestic Violence, and AIDs training.  Biennium  40 CME, 2 or which are fulfilled by Domestic Violence and AIDs updates.
20 hours professional enhancement training annually including all PRC required

Knowledge and Skills:
	Good written and verbal skills 
	Interpersonal communication skills
Evaluate, provide treatment and education, and complete required documentation within designated time constraints for each patient
