* Conducts analysis underpinning key strategic and tactical initiatives. Dual ability to master detailed analysis and data collection in support of analysis, as well as develop high-level summary of findings in clear and concise terms.
* Performs specific analysis to include business and marketing operations process and financial analysis, market segmentation, predictive modeling and scenarios, trend analysis, campaign analysis, forecasting, variance analysis and explanation, and timely performance reporting. Produces findings that show trends, gaps, opportunities and can map findings into a SWOT analysis.
* Works with Sales and other departments to develop strategies to grow sales and market share managing pricing, margins and profitability. Facilitate and lead annual market sizing activities. Helps to research, analyze and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors in order to capitalize on market opportunities. Works with internal constituents to collaboratively gather information and gain complete understanding of data, models, processes and other variables required to perform analysis.
* Delivers timely reporting on key metrics and underlying drivers as specified by management. Interprets qualitative and quantitative information in order to develop relative insights and determine business implications for executive presentation. Plans and organizes coordination of data to meet timelines.
* Develop and maintain a global competitive analysis database. Maintain data integrity, analyze and define future enhancements, develop reports from exported data and train and develop other associates pertaining to reporting systems.
* Provides guidance and assistance to others with conducting business research by gathering data, identifying options, performing cost-benefits analyses, and creating non-routine reports with detailed analyses and/or proposals to create or revise management policies, business processes and services provided to customers.
* Develop and maintain market intelligence for potential acquisitions that creative competitive advantage and/or expand our participation in target/adjacent markets
* Allocate specific time to personally survey customers, as well as structure strategies, tools and processes that listen and act on the “voice of the customer”

* Consolidate and report on regular Emerson Product Exhibits as needed
* Support Vilter''s Planning efforts, events, and responses
* Assist in the implementation of strategic decisions and initiatives (i.e., planning, project management, organizing and allocating resources)
* Assist in acquisition programs, including joint ventures, strategic partnerships and investments
* Undertake special projects relating to business development and growth, as may be identified within and outside the planning group.
* Support Company Executive Management in their formal communications to various audiences within and outside company

EXPERIENCE:

* Master of Business Administration (MBA) strongly preferred. Bachelors degree in marketing or related field required.
* 6-8 years of relevant professional marketing experience performing high level market analytics. Familiarity with global business strategies, service and solutions development, and distribution models.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, distributors, and employees of the organization.
