Requirements:
A qualified candidate for this position must have advanced knowledge of the following: a) development communications such as grant writing and reporting; b) prospect research and analysis; c) project and proposal development; d) project management; e) the fundraising process that includes strategies to cultivate and solicit donors, especially foundations and corporations; f) familiarity with institutional donors such as their interests, giving trends, and priorities; g) familiarity with government grants and sponsored research functions; h) database management; and i) office technology and equipment, including computers and software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office suite5 Respond to internal funding research requests from faculty and staff Lead grant compliance efforts by working with project directors to track projects and grant awards for effective reporting, and to ensure fulfillment of grant agreements Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal institutional stakeholders such as faculty and staff to identify and develop funding needs for projects and proposal developmentBachelor s degree in English, communications, or related field from an accredited college or university is requiredReporting to the Director of Institutional Giving, this position will help secure funding from institutional sources, including corporations, foundations, and government for the College s institutional priorities and needs such as scholarship, academic, co-curricular, capital, and community outreach programs
