Positions Summary:

The Account Manager reports to the President, and is responsible for conducting a wide range of sales activities in support of the Sales Department and the corporate strategic plan.

The incumbent will work a non-standard schedule with some weekend and night work possible. Job-related contacts can occur with all demographic groups, with the majority of daily contacts being with potential or actual Performance Building Services customers.

Job-related stress will range from minimum to high.

Goals of Position:

To ensure that the MEP services provided by the company meet customer requirements.

To understand the vision and core valuesof the Performance Building Services.

To effectively expand Performance Building Services base of business through developing and maintaining customer relationships.

To provide the Operations Department with profitable work.

To provide the Operations Department with complete information on all bid project.

To always represent Performance Building Services professionally.

To achieve allocated sales goals by Performance Building Services.

To generate sales goals in accordance with position title.

To advance in the department through hard work, continuing education and most importantly results.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

Must have a good understanding of current industry sales practices and procedures.

Must have a good understanding of industry practices, processes and standards, and proper performance of the same.

Must be able to apply innovative and effective techniques to maximize sales team performance.

Great communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be a team-oriented person.

Experience in sales-related marketing in the HVAC/R or building service fields.

Possessing excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to sell to a wide range of customers.

Be a self-motivated, extroverted, tactful, organized, goals-oriented professional.

Be a skilled and experienced salesperson with a proven record of direct and indirect sales experience, including a record as a strong sale closer.

Summary of Responsibilities:

To ensure that the MEP services provided by PBS meet customer requirements.

To ensure that the controlled conditions under which PBS activities are conducted are maintained at all times.

To ensure the continuous improvement of the companies ISO 9001:2000 procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

Securing orders and renewals from existing customers by means of on-site calls, telephone contacts and tailored letters.

Securing orders from potential customers by means of on-site calls, telephone contacts and letters.

Conducting post-sale, follow-up with customers to ensure all sales agreements have been accomplished, and customers are satisfied with all aspects of the transaction.

Maintaining a working relationship with Field Services and Projects Departments to ensure familiarity with service and products offered, and roles.

Maintaining liaison with product representatives and local suppliers to stay abreast of product lines, promotions, trends and changes.

Maintaining and improving his or her sales skills and technical knowledge through self-study, product seminars, corporate training and self-improvement courses.

Selling service and maintenance agreements, following up with all the customers who are sold an agreement to ensure the agreement is renewed.

Maintaining written and electronic records of sales-related leads, contacts, referrals, suspense items, future opportunities, follow-ups and key names and addresses.

Participating in dealer and corporate sales promotions.

Responding to written and telephone inquiries that are sales-related, or could lead to a sales-related dialogue.

Conducting himself/herself in a professional manner to echo the ethical and integrity based standards of the corporation.

Performing related sales duties as directed by the President.

Licenses and Other Requirements:

Certification:

First Aid / CPR certification.

Vehicle:

Hold a current Colorado drivers license and be insurable by Performance Building Services insurance carrier.

Own and operate a roadworthy vehicle that represents Performance Building Services professionally.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Sales related experience.

Relevant technical experience preferred.

Bachelor degree preferred.

Computer Skills:

Ability to type 45 words per minute.

Familiarity with following computer software programs: Microsoft Office Professional and SalesLogix.

Strong computer competent.

Computer Skills; proficient in MS Office products and Great Plains / WennSoft software platform.

Physical Ability Requirements [PAR]:

Employee must have the physical ability to:

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds or more with assistance.
