This position provides general, as well as, specialized IT support to the University Healthcare Physician's management, clinical and admin staff, residents and students. This includes both software and hardware technical support, including, but not limited to design/development, implementation, and on going maintenance of Epic end user applications and related hardware and connections.


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field. A combination of experience and education will be considered to fulfill degree requirement.

· Applicant should possess at least one year of directly related experience in the Information Technology and computer customer support field. Two years of experience preferred.

· A detailed knowledge of programming in HTML, Java, and other appropriate software languages is required. Thorough knowledge of website design and implementation required.

* Travel to and from UHP's 10+ sites is required. Ability to manage time to produce highest efficiencies is required.

Broad working knowledge of:

1. Hardware (i.e. computers, printers, and other peripheral devices)

2. Various software packages such as Epic, all MS Operating Systems, MS Office, MS FrontPage, Dreamweaver, HTML, Cold Fusion, NavStudio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists with the design/development, implementation, and on going maintenance/trouble shooting of Epic/Merlin end user applications for the UHP.

Responsible for coordination of Merlin software and hardware issues with related UHP sites and Information Technology in Morgantown. Implements, troubleshoots, and supports hardware devices as related to Epic/Merlin or other issues as assigned.

Assists with Division updates and requested changes in Epic/Merlin applications such as, but not limited to, clinical template builds, documentation builds, special report requests, and other related issues as assigned.

Provides assistance to the Computer Network Coordinator on computer hardware, networks, and phone system related issues in the UHP operations.

Assists with the creation and maintenance of website templates, the design of navigation flow, the organization of page layouts, the capturing and editing of photographs, the creation of graphics and logos, and the editing of all website content.

Provides support for Audio Visual and telecommunication activities for the division.

Other duties as assigned.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

The employee will be required to enroll in and successfully complete additional on-line trainings and certifications.
