Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Senior Tax Analyst at our Franklin, TN North American headquarters location.

 

Job Description:


	Prepares and/or reviews calculations of current taxable income, including book-tax differences, reserve requirements under ASC 740, and other adjustments to current expense.
	Prepares and/or reviews calculations of deferred tax expense, including effects of current taxable income, accrual to return reconciliations, state effective tax rate changes and changes to OCI.
	Reconciles and verifies the inventory of deferred tax assets and liabilities, including developing and documenting procedures to perform reconciliations of gross deferred items to the financial statements.
	Summarizes deferred tax accounts for internal reporting, external audit and financial statement footnotes.
	Prepares and/or reviews computations of effective tax rates, and determines appropriate application to current and deferred tax expense.
	Understands differences in treatment of book-tax differences between federal and states, the impact of apportionment rates, state addbacks or subtractions, and properly accounts for these items in the tax provision.
	Prepares annual/quarterly budgets and forecasts of tax expense, effective tax rate and cash tax payments.
	Computes “cast tax rate” for parent company foreign tax credit purposes.
	Performs variance analyses against previous budgets/forecasts, actual results and prior periods, reporting results to other departments, senior management, and parent company tax and budget departments.


 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Experience: Five or more years of directly related (Big 4) income tax accounting experience.

 

Education: Masters Degree & CPA

 

Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other PC or mainframe applications. Proficiency in corporate tax compliance software.
