The site manager represents his or her department in the Lead Technologist meetings. To this end, the incumbent will provide valuable input with regard to policy and procedure; hiring, training/orienting/coaching both team members and students; remediation, discipline, evaluating personnel performance; and equipment evaluation and selection. In addition, the site manager will be responsible for cultivating the facility's development and customer relations. This individual will also be responsible for completing payroll edits, and keeping team members abreast of current technology and service requirements. The site manager is accountable for compliance with all pertinent JCAHO standards, ACR, and local, state, and federal regulations. Continuing education and local society involvement are a high priority.
The incumbent shares responsibility with the departmental management team to build positive relationships among team members in all Diagnostic Imaging cost centers. The site manager will ensure that that all team members are treated with dignity, fairness, and consistency within the guidelines set forth in the MSHA's personnel policies and procedures.
The site manager will ensure that timely and appropriate care is delivered to patients of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics in accordance with quality standards established by the facility and the department of Diagnostic Imaging. The site manager ensures effective communication with patients of every status and works with the outpatient scheduling office to optimize scheduling templates and accommodate add-on examinations.
The incumbent will act as liaison between patients, patient's family, and physician to ensure excellent communication and customer satisfaction. The site manager will also act as a liaison between team members when issues arise. The site manager must communicate effectively, and will be responsible to disseminate information up and down the communications ladder in a timely and effective manner.
The site manager assists with establishing specific operational and performance improvement goals and objectives for his or her assigned departments, and is actively involved in accurate recording, analyzing, and reporting in a timely manner the departmental monitors established for this purpose. In addition, the site manager portrays hospital and departmental goals and objectives in a positive light so as to create a cohesive and cooperative relationship with team members. The incumbent assists with planning and preparation of the operational and capital equipment budgets, and ensures efficient day-to-day operations with relation to approved budgets. This position is responsible for flexing and cross-training staff to comply with established productivity standards. The site manager will ensure that equipment is regularly inspected and maintained in optimum operating condition.
The site manager will ensure that all team members are qualified and maintain active licensure. This position is responsible for creating and posting a work and call schedule in a timely manner. This schedule is based on equal shouldering of responsibilities by all team members. The schedule should demonstrate a work approach that maximizes workflow and personnel utilization. The incumbent will assume call responsibilities as appropriate.
The site manager maintains strict confidentiality in matters relating to patients and personnel of facility. The incumbent promotes a good working environment in the department.
The incumbent will possess the skills and personal characteristics that are essential for success, e.g. dependability, exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation and initiative, cooperation, team building, team mentality approach to problem solving, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to paint the bigger picture and re-engineer work processes to accomplish efficiency for self and supervised others. This person will serve as a role model for all colleagues by setting an example of high standards in dress, conduct, cooperation, and job performance.
The site manager must accumulate 24 continuing education credits per year.

MSHA expects all team members to support the VOS initiative by demonstrating awareness of the VOS system and effectively applying it to his/her work.
Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI). The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to a Management Team Member.
This position supervises assigned personnel and assigned students.


Associate of Science degree or equivalent (B.S. preferred) in Radiology from an accredited CAHEA radiology program.
Associated credentials/registry/licenses that qualify the professional for assigned patient examinations are also mandatory.
The position requires a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
Because of the broad spectrum of duties required, this position requires working knowledge of all the billing, reimbursement , quality improvement, personnel management, automated systems, etc. Background should include a proven track record in dealing with physicians. Excellent verbal and oral communication skills are required.
Technical experience and supervisory skills are necessary. The site manager will need to attend the hospital Management Training course within the first eighteen months of employment.
