A LPN/LVN must have current, full, active and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or the District of Columbia. Preferred Experience a.2 year of adult med/surg nursing experience preferred. b. Computer skills

GRADE DETERMINATIONS GS-3:
 None beyond the basic requirements. 

GS-4:
 Six (6) months of qualifying experience. 

GS-5:
 (a) One (1) year of nursing experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level is required. (b) Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide a full range of practical nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems. (c) Demonstrated ability to serve as a responsible member of the nursing team and interact with patients, family members, professional and supportive personnel who provide patient care, and with members of other services. 

GS-6:
 In addition to meeting the requirements for the GS-5 level, has completed at least an additional year of qualifying experience at the GS-5 level or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:
 Duties require extensive periods of standing and walking. Working with patients requires regular and recurring bending, lifting, stooping, stretching, and similar activities. Veterans'
