- Improve and enhance Auditing’s image by exceeding client expectations, successfully building and maintaining client relationships and by promoting services of the Auditing organization
- Develop, with Audit management, the overall annual audit plan. Identify Energy Resources and Corporate Services audit universe and related audit plan by assessing universe risk based upon client, staff and self-input
- Plan, organize, and supervise the activities of all direct reports including audit assignments, resource utilization, outsourcing, and all phases of the audit work.
- Develop and motivate employees through a shared vision and empowered environment that encourages creativity and communication and promotes teamwork as well as value added client services - Provide timely communication to the Audit staff on corporate issues, strategies, new professional standards and industry trends, as well as feedback on work performance
- Ensure that internal auditing standards, procedures and techniques are followed in the investigation and evaluation of controls, methods and procedures; including activities relating to the audit of information systems development, operations, and systems hardware
- Participate in the recruiting process by conducting interviews and evaluating candidates

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Arts or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited college or university. A degree in another discipline is acceptable with additional experience as specified below.
- Eight years’ experience in related Internal Auditing or Public Accounting required, or five years’ experience in the above areas plus at least three years’ experience in relevant multiple company operational processes. For degrees other than Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Internal Auditing, Public Accounting, or Finance is required. Knowledge of Energy Resources and Corporate Services business preferred.
- CIA, CPA, or CISA certification required
- Ability to develop professional business relationships with members of management and staff at all levels; strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of related business and industry.
- Experience in audit analysis and evaluation of internal controls and systems and business risks, and ability to provide consulting expertise to business units; and knowledge of specialized auditing principles and practices.
- Ability to identify, develop and implement strategy for the future direction of the Audit organization and to identify future client needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others. Proficient verbal, non-verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to credibly discuss audit observations, negotiate and settle conflicts with clients and others
- Analytical and problem solving skills to improve processes, minimize risk and add value to a wide variety of complex operations
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance to others.
- Organizational, project and time management skills
