Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains reliable and consistent attendance. M

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of assigned departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training caregivers; planning, assigning and directing work; mentoring; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining caregivers; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Promotes a strong culture of safety.
Provides leadership in consistent continuous quality improvement. Works with team members to understand their role in quality improvement in the department.
Establishes department operational budget. Ensures compliance with organizational budget and expenditure policy.
Develops operating plan and tactics for assigned department; implements and maintains measures of success. Develops and articulates a vision for the services and leads staff toward that vision.
Responsible to maintain optimal quality, customer service, and regulatory compliance oversight for the assigned departments.
Ensures that the operations within assigned departments are meeting quality, service, and financial goals. Has ultimate responsibility for:
a. Quality performance management for assigned departments. Insures that the services meet the standards for accrediting organizations.
b. Financial goals outlined in budgetary proposal and strategic plans.

d. Patient/customer satisfaction within assigned departments.
e. Caregiver engagement and satisfaction.

Works directly with the physicians for policy development and resource allocation to optimize department relationships.
Cultivates strong relationships with referral sources and providers throughout the service area in support of the service's mission.
Patient Care 15%
Make frequent rounds to ensure that department staff is performing required duties and to ensure that appropriate patient care is being rendered.
Works to assure quality care of all patients.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in nursing or related field. Masters in
Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years related experience and training in a related position required. Three years supervisory/management experience required.

Job Knowledge: Expertise in the clinical or business field relevant to the position is required. Thorough knowledge of the regulations governing the areas managed. Must have excellent management and leadership skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Responsible for co-managing pharmaceuticals with the pharmacy department.
