REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

• Professional Counseling License desired: CASAC, LMSW, LMHC

• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university

EXPERIENCE:

• One year of experience in a related field

• Ability to work with psychiatric and substance abuse population

• Knowledge of group facilitation, counseling and case management services

• Verbal and written communication skills

• Computer literate

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Be able to conduct classes that address client rehabilitation, treatment, support and recovery needs, utilizing a planned protocol with developmental goals and behavioral objectives

• Provide individual clinical counseling and therapy, ongoing assessment and individualized recovery and relapse prevention planning, case management (linkage, referral, advocacy and consultation), crisis intervention and discharge planning for clients on caseload

• Maintain timely documentation, in compliance with agency and state regulatory guidelines

• Complete and submit required reports to other agencies (e.g. probation, parole, AOT, CPS, etc.) identifying client progress or lack of progress in the Program

• Supervise gender appropriate client urine toxicology/breathalyzer screenings

• Participate and document regularly scheduled supervision sessions with the Clinical Coordinator

• Participate in weekly staff meetings and case conferences, as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Attend in-service training workshops

• Complete required Essential Learning Training Programs

• Assist with the planning and implementation of special events

• Be knowledgeable of program policies and procedures, including emergency procedures

• Perform other relates duties and functions, as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator or Director of Brentwood Mental Health Services
