SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities of Accounting & Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including A/P, A/R and cash management
  • Lead all financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting activities
  • Develop and/or enhance and implement systems geared toward improving the overall operational efficiency of the company
  • Design and/or improve benchmarks for measuring financial and operational performance
  • Provide strategic financial analyses to Managing Partners based on forecasts and trends and make recommendations to support agency growth plans and overall health
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax reporting requirements
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to facilities, human resources and senior team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance and/or work experience in a related field; MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
  • 5-10 years of financial leadership (with at least 3 yrs being management) with experience managing a business through growth
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel & MS Office; and hands-on experience with accounting and ERP systems
  • Balance out the P&L cash balance sheets
  • Experience leading finance and accounting functions to manage and grow businesses
  • Team player with a willingness to do everything small AND strategic
  • Proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to identify and solve problems independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of basic GAAP accounting assumed


DESIRED:

  • CPA
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 2-4 years of recent experience with a Big-4 CPA firm
