The business has manufacturing operations in Albuquerque NM and Seoul, South Korea, with Sales offices across US, Europe and Asia. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and mentor worldwide sales team in prospecting and securing sales opportunities to meet annual revenue and profit goals Work with the leadership team to set sales objectives and then translate these into achievable targets for direct sales, and worldwide rep network Drive forecasting and CRM tools that produce accurate and actionable forecasts of near term anticipated bookings and overall sales activity for management review, operations and inventory planning Manage direct sales and independent selling channels (manufacturer's representatives, distributors, integrators, etc.) to build productive partnerships. Conduct periodic performance reviews with clear communication of sales goals. Lead weekly sales team teleconference to maintain pulse of sales organization, build momentum and gather market intelligence Continuously monitor sales performance against annual plan across industries, territories and product lines in order to make adjustments and improvements Work closely with Marketing to set strategies for the industries, territories and product lines including the support of strategic sales and marketing programs, product promotions, trade shows, channel development events and customer seminars Together with Marketing and Engineering, champion the development, launch and success of new products Implement sales policies that are in concert with company pricing strategies and protection of margin Continuously evaluate sales team progress and provide coaching, training and development as needed to improve performance

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors in Science or Engineering with preference for candidates with an MBA, experience in consultative sales of systems and components in Life Science, Semiconductor or Industrial markets. Preference for sales experience in Lasers, Optics and Photonics related industries.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:

•This job position requires compliance with ITAR regulations. Therefore, all employees working in this capacity must meet citizenship status. Per the CVI Melles Griot Export Controls Policy and Procedure, the employee must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
•The person is expected to have held prior Sales, Marketing and/or Product manager roles with the drive, leadership and strategic vision to develop and deliver on Sales and growth objectives.
• 8 to 10 years of direct sales experience.
• 5 to 7 years of direct global sales management experience with a track record for meeting/exceeding sales goals
• Strong experience in direct OEM component and systems sales through direct resources and channel partners.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective "go-to-market" strategies and drive key account management processes.
• Prior experience developing pricing strategies, negotiating business agreements with OEM customers and channel partners
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
