All team members will be held accountable to the Mountain States Health Alliance Scope of Services that is defined by Service Excellence.
Patient Care: Possesses an in-depth knowledge base in basic emergency care, and basic life support skills to care for all patient populations. Communicates effectively as a team member and assists with completion of appropriate records and forms. Presents a positive, professional image to referring personnel and promotes a team approach in a patient centered care philosophy.
Technical Procedures: Works effectively as a team member. Is proficient if the operation of wheelchair, wheelchair vans, and ambulance operations.
Daily Duties: Stocks, cleans and checks the ambulance to maintain mission readiness. Conducts post-transport decontamination and restocks the ambulance accordingly. Completes follow-up communication with referring agencies and family members. Completes appropriate post transport documentation where necessary and assistance whenever possible. Participates in the documentation and tracking of equipment from referring agencies. Performs tasks including fuel inventory, maintenance reporting, etc. as indicated per policy.
Public Relations: Assists with Public Relations programs for critical care transport program. Speaks publicly about the transport program and gives tours of the program when requested. Maintains a clean and professional image at all times.

It is vital that an individual in this position be capable of good communication skills. It is of the utmost importance that written communication is legible.
MSHA expects all team members to support the VOS initiative by demonstrating awareness of the VOS system and effectively applying it to his/her work.
Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI). The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.

Licensures and Certifications:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
3. CPR certification
4. At least one year experience as Emergency Medical Technician IV Tech
Continuous Learning: Attends a minimum of 75% of the monthly staff meetings, attends all mandatory educational offerings, maintains a current safety briefing, participates and completes all competencies. Maintains required certifications and provides documentation to management. Maintains extended skills documentation and completes annual competency evaluation. Must be able to exercise initiative and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Demonstrate assessment skill through the identification of the patient’s physical, mental, and emotional needs.
