**Background****:**

* Project Manager / Office Manager with consulting/engineering firm that has project experience in environmental investigations, remediation, environmental compliance, due diligence and other environmental matters.
* Business Development success in a Seller/Doer environmental consulting services business model.
* Project management, staff management, office budget control, corporate initiatives, mentoring, and resource management.
* Ability to interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
* Demonstrated experience to create budgets and maintain them on both the project level and office profit & loss (P&L;) level.
* Strong communications skills both written and oral.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead an operating unit within an office including ensuring technical staff assignments are optimized for maximum utilization and profit.
* Driven to lead project teams, staff and market new clients.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities, and delivery of responsive, high quality services.
* Direct, manage and monitor multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents.
* Lead and mentor project managers on strategic pursuits including proposal development and client meetings, and help maintain strong relationships with key leaders within California and other members in the TRC Environmental Sector.
* Conduct Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed as well as projects and tasks managed by others. Responsible for implementation of the firms’ quality procedures at project and task levels.
* Evaluate current reporting practices and procedures and enhance to ensure quality and consistent delivery of materials. Preparation of technical documents and reports.
* Identify and market new clients within the San Francisco Bay Area.
* Hire, supervise, and direct environmental staff.
* Review RFQs and prepare proposals.
* Maintain a current book of business along with a billable utilization target.
* Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business from accounts under management.

Required Experience


**Experience Required**

* Bachelors in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field of study at a minimum.
* Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in California professional licenses preferred.
* Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience leading project teams, demonstrated success in business development and marketing to new and existing clients in the San Francisco Bay Area, and managing technical staff under a Seller/Doer business model.
