Provides guidance for execution of the ethical sourcing compliance program alignment process for existing and emerging retail markets by supporting introduction of retail markets into the ethical sourcing program; conducting market analysis (for example, audit scope, volume, suppliers); and establishing plans and identifying resources and systems for program roll-out; and ensuring support to geographical and field operations on social responsibility and convergence initiatives. Provides overall direction for the Ethical Sourcing area by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Supports global supplier sourcing initiatives by collaborating with other brands and retailers to achieve industry-wide acceptance of the global supplier standards of conduct; providing input into the creation of the audit process; and managing and governing audit collaboration processes. Supports organizational change via ethical sourcing training and education programs by overseeing research, development, design, and delivery management of ethical sourcing training programs for merchants, associates, and suppliers and supplier's factories. Ensures consistency and effectiveness of compliance programs for national brands by developing business models and criteria for use in evaluating compliance programs against company sourcing standards; reviewing, evaluating, and issuing final approval for compliance programs and practices; conducting reviews and benchmarking; and working with third-party audit firms and other retailers to assess programs. Drives the Walmart Ethical Sourcing program by developing and executing governance specific strategic goals, objectives, and operational execution strategies; and developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), ethical sourcing systems-related documentation, and supplier manuals. Engages with the cross functional teams to build awareness and corporate reputation by representing the company in community outreach and involvement initiatives, developing external stakeholder engagement relationships; and managing the ethical sourcing section of the Sustainability Report.


•Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 5 years experience in product development, operations management, manufacturing, sourcing, merchandising, corporate affairs or related field OR 7 years experience in product development, operations management, manufacturing, sourcing, merchandising, corporate affairs or related field OR 5 years experience working directly in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

•3 years supervisory experience.

•Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Travels internationally to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring extended overnight stays.
