Manage assigned new product development projects to help grow the total product volume to achieve annual business plan objectives.Work closely with Sales and Marketing in developing products from ideation through bench development, pilot test and production runs to ensure marketplace success. Utilize formal new projects process program such as Stage-Gate to ensure projects meet specific time-lines and project parameters. Many products are customer specific and customized to their respective menus and operations. Other new products may be consumer marketplace driven with longer lead-times and added process steps. Lead Product Showings to evaluate products developed and competition.Interact with Foodservice Customers and their R&D and Marketing Personnel to help achieve project success.Become a technical customer and consumer expert for assigned products and channels. Understands who the customer and consumer is, why and how they use our company products.Prepare accurate and timely specifications for all products developed. This includes: raw ingredients, formula, process and finished product.Document all development work accurately. This includes written documentation of lab work, product showings, and plant trials.Promote a innovative culture and continuous improvement of products and processes.Help to develop junior technical personnel.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5
- 7 years of related product development within the Foods Industry.Expertise in the areas of product formulation; flavor applications; ingredient interaction; analytical methods; statistical design of experiments; commercial processing scale-up.Understanding of food manufacturing processes and the sequence of events necessary to convert raw materials to finished products.Expert in food processing and/or related food product systems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Solid project management skills with the ability to coordinate multi-task projects and provide continuous priority updates and changes.Ability to influence necessary cross-functional partners for successful implementation of projects. Able to travel up to 25% of the time. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Ability to effectively present both written and verbally to all customers both internally and externally.Proficient with MS Office and applicable software.B.S. degree in Food Science or similar discipline (or equivalent in work experience).
