The LPN is responsible for nursing care assigned to that position and directs others in patient care. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The LPN reports to Registered Nurse and Clinical Manager/Clinical Leader. Must communicate effectively with RN at all times.
The competency and practice of point of care testing is under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Medical Director and/or designee per regulatory rule #1200-6-3-15 Alternate Site Testing, Section (1)(c), 9 of the Tennessee Medical Laboratory Board Division of Health Related Boards. This practice is a collaborative process with the Laboratory and Nursing leaderships


Graduate of approved school of nursing and currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state.
CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
a) Obtains 12 hours educational credit.
b) Verbalizes understanding of Shared Governance and willingly participates on committee, task force, or project to improve patient care or work area when asked.
c) Attends 75% of staff meetings and reads 25% of staff meetings missed.
