accountable to the ICU Medical Director for clinical practice and other professional responsibilities. The VA Chief of Staff is the second line supervisor. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for the evaluation, care, and disposition of patients.
* Order appropriate diagnostic tests. Independent care provider who is highly skilled in the management of a patient's primary care needs or subspecialty evaluation and treatment.
* Determine need for hospitalization or transfer to another facility.
* Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: In order to qualify for this postion you must meet the following:

* U.S. Citizenship.
* Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
* Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
* Must be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.
* Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
