QuarterLine provides professional health care staffing services to military hospitals and health clinics across the United States.  We are currently seeking a full-time Physician in support of the Soldier Readiness Program at Fort Bliss, Texas (El Paso).

 

The main mission of the Soldier Resilience andReadiness Center is to conduct mobilization /deployment,
demobilization/re-deployment, and Soldier readiness for all service members, civilians, and Contractors to deploy/re-deploy from the theater of operations.  The Center also provides services related to: Post Deployment Health Reassessments, Periodic Health Assessments, Welcome Center Soldier Assessments, and Active Component Readiness Assessments.

*The duties may include but are not limited to the following:*

  * Perform all procedures commonly performed by medical practitioners in their specific specialty and level of licensing and for which privileges have been granted.  These shall be essentially the same duties as those required of any Medical Corps Officer or Government civil service provider of similar experience and in similar duty assignments.  Duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
  * Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to service members. Review medical histories
    and progress of service members. Examine service members, make diagnosis of disease, disaster, or injury, and treat service member or prescribe a course of treatment. Abide by all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
  * Initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.
  * Follow-up on abnormal reports. Abnormal x-ray and lab reports received on service members seen by HCP shall be reviewed by the HCP at the time these reports are available for review. Each report shall be reviewed within one week of its receipt.
  * Prescribe medications, as appropriate, in accordance with the privileges and SRRC rules and regulations.
  * Seek advice of consultants when appropriate.
  * Facilitate service member access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other HCPs in accordance with SRRC policies and regulations. 
  * Prepare and document appropriate history physical examinations, and diagnosis. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with applicable directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required. Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete.
  * Utilize paraprofessional staff as appropriate
  * Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate
  * Advise the Medical Commander of the SRRC clinic where contracted services are being provided of any problems encountered or anticipated in connection with meeting the needs of service members treated. Continuing problems of any nature shall be reported by the Contractor in writing to the COR.
  * Attend and participate in service member care reports, service member care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities only to the extent that such attendance and participation is relative to his/her assigned cases and/or performance of contract services as determined by the COR or Department Chief.
  * Adhere to the Center for Disease Control guidelines concerning universal precautions and the SRRC Infection Control Program at all times while providing services under this contract.
  * Perform all duties in such a manner that they meet all Joint Commission standards.
  * *Hours:* The normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.  Operating hours may change during surge activities. Duty on weekends or staggered shifts outside normal clinic hours may be required based on mission requirements. Notification is provided 72 hours prior to start of shift changes and operational days.


*Licensure.* Shall meet all licensing/certification requirements to perform as a physician in any specialty.  Physician must possess a current unrestricted license in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Must be board certified or board eligible. Graduates of foreign medical schools are required to possess both a medical license and other certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or 5th Pathway.

*Experience.* Shall possess a minimum of three years of experience within the last four years working full-time as a physician.  Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification is not required; however, providers possessing a DEA registration number (certificate) current at the time of contract award must provide documentation (renewal is not mandatory).

*Certification.* Shall have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).  Certification must be by American Heart Association specifically stating it is for healthcare providers and will be renewed every two years. , ,
