Job description for the Advertising and Publicity Manageris as follows... Responsible for coordinating property advertising through media sources and vendors to ensure deadline materials are received and correct ads are running at all times. Responsible for assessing promotional needs and coordinating point-of-sale materials, including ordering, art-work, and dispersal. Responsible for handling guest complaints in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner and knowing when to call upon management for assistance. Responsible for maintaining files and routing pertinent information to other departments. Responsible for being knowledgeable of all special events and promotions and assisting with execution of such as needed. Responsible for managing the trafficking of all electronic, print, outdoor, and in-house advertising so that creative deadlines are met for any type of advertising campaign and that the information contained therein is correct and timely. Responsible for working out trade arrangements with radio stations (i.e. receive mentions or spots in exchange for tickets for entertainment along with dinners and hotel rooms, if appropriate). Responsible for actively participating in the creative process of ad campaigns and collateral for promotional events. Responsible for proof reading/spell checking all collateral including direct mail insuring promotional codes, dates/times/expiration dates are correct. Responsible for ensuring that collateral and signage is stocked/posted as needed, put up in a timely manner and taken down or replace when it becomes out of date. Responsible for representing property at community events. Responsible for completing reports, databases, and correspondence in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines as established by internal and external sources. Responsible for assisting in the creation of an annual marketing plan and budget in accordance with guidelines and Sr. Marketing Managers input. Responsible for staying within budget and communicating variances and variance forecasts during monthly P&L reviews and in consultation with the Sr. Marketing Manager on an ongoing basis. Responsible for overseeing the creative, media placement, direct mail, special events, promotions, and public relations creative related activities in coordination with established agency, Responsible for outdoor services, advertising/creative agencies/firms, marketing results/direct mail, other Resort entities, and other companies as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining a monthly reconciliation binder with separate categories each month for print, radio, TV, outdoor, direct mail, special events, promotion, and production insertion/job orders. Responsible for reconciling bills with insertion/job orders as they come in. Responsible for Investigating and following up on any variances. Responsible forsubmittingcorrect bills for payment to accounts payable in accordance with Resort procedures to be established. Responsible for maintaining a computerized monthly budget spreadsheet showing budget to actual spends in all marketing spend areas. Responsible for attaching monthly variance/exception reports to each monthly spreadsheet as applicable. Responsible for maintaining two monthly binders; one for keeping copies of all print advertising and publicity copies and one for keeping copies of all competitor print advertising and publicity copies (Including photos of outdoor advertising). Responsible for maintaining a cataloged tape library of all Resort and Resort competitor electronic advertising and publicity. Responsible for monitoring any vendor activities from inception to completion including advertising agency(s), media, artists, printer(s), signmaker(s), event planners, etc. Responsible for ensuring ads are approved by all necessary departments/individuals in accordance with Resort guidelines prior to releasing them for publication/airing/display. Responsible for assisting in the resolution of Resort and vendor challenges. Responsible for monitoring and directing all Resort creative including logo and PMS color/typestyle consistency IAW (in accordance with) Resort guidelines, signage, ad copy, print, electronic, and outdoor media in accordance with the Sr. Marketing Manager and the Resort guidelines. Responsible for monitoring and directing all Resort media placement IAW Resort guidelines. Responsible for providing reports as requested by the Sr. Marketing Manager including reach and frequency analysis, advertising effectiveness research, GRP/TRP, CPP, TSL, and Arbitron ratings/demographic analysis, competiveness (ongoing), and bids for creative (as requested IAW Resort guidelines). Responsible for assisting in coordinating Resort direct mail programs in accordance with the Sr. Marketing Managers and Resort guidelines. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information and agreeing to and signing the Resort confidentiality agreement. Responsible for designing graphics as needed for fliers, tent cards, newsletters, and the like. Organizing and monitoring photo/video shoots.
Advertising and Publicity ManagerRequirements: Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to uphold presentation/demeanor in stressful situations. Posses the ability to work under pressure of deadlines. Must have the ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm. Must be thoroughly trained and have a full understanding of various computer systems and their software such as but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to operate various office machinery such as fax machine and copy machine. Experience in marketing or related field is preferred. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in marketing, communications, journalism, business administration or related subject matter And/or equivalent experience in hotel/casino, hospitality, and food and beverage marketing, advertising, and publicity; Two or more years experience; Or equivalent combination of education and experienceWe DO NOT open attachments!!!
