SUMMARY:
The Strategy and Execution Office (SEO) is a team within Claim Business Intelligence & Analytics (CBIA) with a focus on strategic planning, execution of projects and maturity management. The primary focus of this position is to support the successful delivery of Business Intelligence projects and deliverables to the Claim organization, as well as support the continuous improvement of CBIA operations and processes. This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to partner with other CBIA groups to execute projects, assist in developing process management, and help improve portfolio and operations execution in the SEO.
This individual will be part of a small, dynamic team and will collaborate with Business Partners and other parties for the management and implementation of Projects or small Programs that support achievement of moderate to complex unit or corporate goals. In addition, this individual needs to have strong communication skills, ability to problem solve, creative in working through solutions or lack of process and information and strong analytical skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The focus of this position is to support the successful delivery of Business Intelligence activities, projects and deliverables to the Claim organization. Additionally, this position will focus on continuous improvement of existing processes such as Demand Management, Capacity Planning, Portfolio Reporting, and Communications, as well as initiatives that support our operating model such as our Sharepoint strategy, or establishment of roadmaps.
The Project Manager controls planning and execution of the Projects' activities/processes and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met. The Project Manager works with moderate supervision and is responsible for applying Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to Project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. The Project Manager operates within defined parameters using a proven Project Management Methodology with flexibility to merge different methodologies in accomplishing collective goals.
Leads small to medium size projects across the CBIA organization
Responsible for creating and maintaining team project plan
Responsible for managing project financials and estimates
Responsible for adhering to the demand management and capability planning processes for resource planning
Responsible for the development and execution of the projects communication plan
Manages project risks and contingency plans and actively identifies and resolves or escalates issues which may impact the project results
Collaborates and integrates project planning milestones with the Claim Business Delivery Office (CBDO)
Provides project management oversight and influence to CBIA projects that do not have a formally assigned project manager
Assists in building out the project management capability within CBIA (i.e. mentoring or consulting for non-PMs in the area)
Understands the need for right-sizing project management practices based on the need of the assignment
Assists in developing process management and improving portfolio and operations execution
Owns portfolio and/or operations execution tasks in order to support SEO improvement initiatives
Responsible for rolling out new processes or procedures within CBIA by finding the right balance of rigor and flexibility
Supports business analyst type activities such as requirement gathering when necessary to kick-off assignments in support of CBIA
Provides insight to acceptance of new processes or procedures and tweaks to fit accordingly during implementation

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Possesses a minimum of 2-5 years or more experience of Project/Program Management in the total Project Life Cycle managing small to medium sized projects or programs
Possesses detailed knowledge around the related PMO processes including Demand, Capacity and Portfolio management
Concrete experience in leading process improvements and supporting operations
Claims, Business Intelligence and/or Insurance experience/background preferred
PMP certification is a plus
Experience in process design and continuous improvement is beneficial
Hands on knowledge of SharePoint and proven ability to leverage SharePoint for creative solutions to problems is beneficial
