PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Project Manager, Testers is responsible for the plan, schedule, life-cycle, and budget of developing Automated Production Test Systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

2. Interface with multifunctional teams to gather, review, and organize project requirements. Clearly and concisely communicate project information to management and design teams.
3. Identify, track, and manage project dependencies, critical path, and deliverables. Plan for project risks and mitigation of those risks.

Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop full-scale project plans, communicate those plans, direct and manage project development from beginning to end for multiple concurrently running projects.
2. Interface with multifunctional teams to gather, review, and organize project requirements. Clearly and concisely communicate project information to management and design teams.
3. Identify, track, and manage project dependencies, critical path, and deliverables. Plan for project risks and mitigation of those risks.
4. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project 2010, and Project Professional. (Microsoft Project/Excel Expert level skills required)
5. Utilize, maintain, and improve project schedule and tracking templates. Quickly identify the necessary tasks per the applicable project and adjust project tracking information appropriately.
6. Collaborate with project engineers and marketing representatives to plan and allocate capital for projects. Track spending in a cost conscious manner and reconcile with finance department prior to project completion.
7. Manage resource utilization/distribution across multiples simultaneous projects. Identify resource conflicts and provide resource balancing recommendations to the management team.
8. Conduct highly efficient periodic project updates and follow up on risks and action item closure. Lead internal project phase gate reviews, and report status of those reviews.
9. Create and present project status and resource utilization reports to management and executive team members.
10. Perform post mortem analysis of project execution and maintain lessons learned knowledge base.
11. Understand, support, and contribute to TQM and Quality / Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SCOPE: The project manager demonstrates the ability to lead project teams and to be responsible for the performance of those teams and the quality of the work output from those teams. The project manager has previous experience working in a Project Management Office, (PMO), and is comfortable with changing/ambiguous requirements.


Job Requirements
EDUCATION

REQUIRED:
•Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or business

PREFERRED:
•MSCS, MBA, MSEE
•Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:
•Minimum of 5 years job experience
•Experience with engineering in a manufacturing industry

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:

•Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities resulting in sound solutions.
•Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate, develop, influence and work with other individuals and teams in a positive manner.
•Calm professional demeanor especially under pressure.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely with global teams, including ability to listen to others for meaning and intent. Fosters communication with others.
•Expert level proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Project Professional.
•Proven ability to apply technical knowledge to business issues.
•Working knowledge of lean/six-sigma continuous process improvement concepts.
•Working knowledge of PMBOK concepts, project charters, scope statements, and project management plans.
•Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, project timelines, and manage teams, schedules, and budgets.
•Capability to work directly with cross functional resources to set priorities and follow up in order to meet project objectives.
•Basic understanding of financial, market, and business initiatives and how engineering priorities support them.
•Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observes results, and makes corrections.
•Ability to remain flexible when changes arise.

•Advanced project management skills—ability to solve the most complex problems efficiently and effectively.
•Advanced analytical, technical, and statistical skills.
•Expert knowledge of products, plant processes and procedures—shares this knowledge with others.
•Advanced understanding of how engineering interrelates with other functions in the organization.
•Proficient in PDP techniques and disciplines.
•CAD and Programming experience.
•Exposure to 3D modeling with CAD/CAM/CAE software.
•Exposure to PCB design and advanced fabrication methods.
•Exposure to electromagnetic simulation software.
•Lean/six sigma green belt certification. Understanding and application of control charts, process capability, gage R&R, and other lean/six sigma tools.
