Have and maintain a current license to practice psychology in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Maintain current certifications as required by MTF credentials office. 1.2.3. Have a minimum of one (1) years post-doctoral experience within the past five (5) years in the independent practice of psychology in the area of the clinical psychology, preferably in a Government setting such as a Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF. Prior experience working with physicians providing medical psychological services is desired.1.2.4. Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical psychology programs.1.2.5. Demonstrate computer literacy sufficient to operate a personal computer utilizing psychological test, word processing, database and spread sheet programs, and possess basic typing skills sufficient to efficiently produce the psychologists own reports and correspondence.1.2.6. Have and maintain a current certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS).1.2.7. Have a Criminal History Background Check, if involved in the delivery of healthcare to children under the age of 18 on a frequent or regular basis.1.3. HOURS OF PERFORMANCE.1.3.1. Services are required five (5) days each week (Monday through Friday), excluding federal holidays and Government designated training holidays. Normal duty hours are 0730 to
1630. Duty hours include an hour lunch period, which is not paid by the Government. Hours are subject to change as directed by the department chief. 1.3.2. On Call. 1.3.2.1. A pre-determined flat rate fee will be paid to the HCP for carrying a beeper while on call and be available to answer inquiries from patients and staff and/or report to the facility to see patients. 1.3.2.2. The on-call psychologist may be required to report to the hospital after normal clinic duty hours, i.e. evenings, nights, and holidays, to provide consultative services and/or treat patients. When necessary, the contract psychologist shall come to the hospital to see patients within 45 minutes of notification. Once the contract psychologist is required to report to the facility and see patients the normal hourly rate shall apply.
