This position assists in the planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the effectiveness of special programs, including but not limited to the accredited chest pain center which promote safety and well being of all patients in the system. Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Has cognitive and technical knowledge and the ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. Retrieves, communicates and presents data and information both verbally and in writing. Must be familiar with abstraction of all programs related to the certifications. Needs to be fluent with the following programs/databases: NCDR Action Registry and CathPCI. Must be familiar with Mission Lifeline.

Qualifications

:

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred but will consider RN that is working on this degree.

Licenses & Certifications: Current TX RN license

Experience & Skills: 5+ years nursing experience with a minimum of 3 years recent experience in a hospital setting. Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills required. Experience with service excellence culture previous quality experience preferred. Knowledge of Federal, State and required regulatory agency standards. Previous medical staff peer review experience preferred but not mandatory.
