SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for administering company compensation programs, maintains compensation systems, procedures, and controls consistent with our client’s policies. Participates in and interprets salary surveys to ensure the maintenance of the firm’s competitive position.

MAJOR DUTIES

* Works independently but with the guidance of the Manager to create and/or support the design, implementation, communication and administration of our client’s base compensation and incentive compensation programs.
* Works to ensure that compensation levels are internally equitable, externally competitive, easily understood, affordable, designed to pay for performance, easily administered, flexible and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
* Evaluates job positions, determines FLSA classification, writes job descriptions, establishes pay ranges and compiles cost-of-living data.
* Conducts and responds to compensation surveys, analyzes data and creates reports.
* Provides assistance on special projects as needed. Assists managers and staff members with additional employee/employment projects and tasks as necessary.

Knowledge skills and qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in business administration or HR management or a combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position.
* 3 to 5 years of compensation administration experience; demonstrated knowledge of compensation methodologies, commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
* Proficient skills in MS Excel a must, experience with Word, Outlook, Ulti Pro and Cognos
* Knowledge of compensation program plan design and human resource principles
* Knowledge of HRIS and compensation systems, interfaces, workflow and output verification.
* Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets
* Ability to present effectively to adequately and professionally convey information.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
