BUSINESS ACQUISITION REP

Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Inside Sales, contacts provided target companies via telephone cold calling. Conducts a needs analysis with LTL freight shipping decision makers to determine if target companies are qualified prospects based on inside sales management's defined criteria. Contacts provided target companies via telephone cold calling. Makes 80 plus phone calls daily. Adapts communication style to the target audience. Qualifies, generates interest, and secures commitment to a meeting with a Saia sales representative. Logs, tracks, and provides disposition for each qualified lead sent to sales representatives. Performs other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience of professional business to business sales
• Cold calling experience
• Excellent phone communications skills: clear/personable/enthusiastic/
• grammar/enunciation
• Self-motivated with a "hunter mentality" to hunt out new business
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
