**POSITION SUMMARY:**

The newly-created role of Regional Director of Mission Integration for Ascension Health Senior Care leads, manages, and directs the Mission Integration function and initiatives within Ascension Health Senior Care in service of organizational identity as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church. As a member of the regional executive leadership team the Regional Director is accountable for and contributes to strategic and operational strategic planning and decision-making. **This is an individual contributor function, not supervising a team at this time.

** II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

* Works collaboratively with the Vice President of Mission Integration for Ascension Health Senior Care to advance overall mission integration strategic priorities.

* Leads and facilitates development of mission integration plans for the Ascension Health Senior Care facilities within a defined region.

** II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

* Works collaboratively with the Vice President of Mission Integration for Ascension Health Senior Care to advance overall mission integration strategic priorities.

* Leads and facilitates development of mission integration plans for the Ascension Health Senior Care facilities within a defined region.
* Builds and maintains personal trust and integrity-based relationships with major stakeholders.

* Clarifies the direction and tactics for mission integration to align with overall strategic direction for mission integration for Ascension Health Senior Care.

* Evaluates mission integration performance and implements changes to better achieve service requirements and financial results.

* Manages and coordinates a variety of mission integration projects and sub-projects and the linkages between them in support of the strategic mission integration goals of the ministry.

* Provides guidance and thought partnership to leaders in strategic and operational decision-making and activities in alignment with the Mission, Vision and Core Values.

* Manage communications and keep internal and external stakeholders informed about mission integration.

* Leads, designs, facilitates and evaluates formation and workplace spirituality programs.

* Enables ethics consultation and education services.

* Educates and informs others regarding the nature and process of formation.

* Assures the provision of pastoral care to residents, clients, program participants and associates.

** III. OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES:**

Promotes, exemplifies and supports the Ascension Health Core Values of _Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity, and Dedication. Identifies and supports formation processes that are already in place_

** IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:**

While performing the duties described above, the associate is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Some travel is required which necessitates handling baggage and navigating through airports. Associate is required to use computer for extended periods of time.

** V. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

Masters degree in Theology or Spirituality required; Systemic and strategic thinking is a plus**. CPE Units are strongly desired and experience supervising a pastoral care department.**

** VI. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**

Ability to relate to healthcare executives with credibility, facilitation of large group processes, development of educational materials, balanced and authentic understanding of Catholic theological tradition, excellent communications skills, strong collaboration skills. A working knowledge of developmental theory. Understanding the nature and process that leads to deeper meaning, understanding and purpose

** VII. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:**

**A. **Direct line reporting relationship with for the VP of Mission Integration for Ascension Health Senior Care and a dotted line reporting relationship to the Regional CEO.

**B.** Supervises: May supervise chaplains or other ministry site staff as warranted.

**C.** Collaborates as a peer/coordinates with: leaders within Ascension Health for mission integration, ethics, spiritual care, and formation.
