The Credit Risk Manager I will be a key member of the Strategy & Analytics team within the Debt Management, Mortgage, and Fraud Operations department (DMMFO). The Credit Risk Manager I will be a key member of the Strategy & Analytics team within the Debt Management, Mortgage, and Fraud Operations department (DMMFO). The colleague will be responsible for collections strategy projects, adhoc analyses and reporting involving performance of Auto, DDA/ODP and Credit Card lines of business.

Types of analysis may include but is not limited to collateral value, user experience, process improvement, collection vendor performance, champion/challenger decision tree development testing and fulfillment, as well as optimization of customer contact type (i.e. call, phone, email, text).

This work involves analysis of time series data, ability to identify trends, ability to source and organize data quickly, to write commentary and insights on trends, to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally, to present findings, and to make suggestions of opportunities and improvements for the business line. Can also include the ability to automate existing or newly developed processes.

The candidate must be able to work efficiently and somewhat independently in a high volume, fast paced, and deadline/results oriented environment. As Credit Risk Manager I in the Strategy & Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to lead sound problem solving skills to solve complex business problems and be part of a diverse and dynamic, team-oriented environment offering multiple opportunities for professional growth. This position does not have any direct reporting responsibilities and is the lead contributor to projects and on-going development.

Responsibilities may include:

Root-Cause and Time Series/Trend Analysis and Reporting

Creating and/or automating performance Dashboards

Collection Vendor Analysis

Analyze business problems and generate hypotheses

Analyze data to prove hypothesis and make recommendations for improvement

Develop and deliver regular reports and communications to management

Design decision tree strategy models which predict collection performance

Implement decision tree strategies in conjunction with other teams

Communicate analysis insights and progress on implementation

The Specific responsibilities involve problem frame-work, developing hypothesis, test and analysis, solutions development, historical trend analysis, predictive modeling, scoping operational feasibility, and developing implementation efforts with monitoring plans.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* 3 years financial or quantitative experience
* 2-3 years experience programming in SAS, SQL
* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative disciple (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Economics)

Preferred Qualifications:

* 5 years financial or quantitative experience
* 5 years experience programming in SAS, SQL
* Master’s degree in a quantitative disciple (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Economics)
* Collections operations, Decision Tree development and/or implementation, and/or Credit Risk Management experience

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
