POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

· As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively provide supervised patient care for urological patients

· Opportunity to collaborate with members of the health care team to contribute to creative approaches to patient care

· Enjoy a primary clinic assignment with some travel to other clinics as necessary

· Position is predominantly Mon-Fri days with occasional weekend and evening hours-no holidays

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide sensitive primary nursing care for high volume of adults needing medical and surgical care for urinary diagnoses

· Conduct telephone triage regarding symptom assessment, information, intervention and appropriate Physician referral for patients.

· Triage and assess patients’ acute conditions and initiates a treatment plan under the direction of a Physician or Mid-Level Practitioner.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Triage and assess patients’ acute conditions and initiates a treatment plan under the direction of a Physician or Mid-Level Practitioner.

· Schedule appointments for procedures, tests, and education.

· Call patients regarding follow-up, test results, medical instruction, and provide patient education.

· Act as a liaison for patient, physician, and other team members.

· Perform procedures in accordance with generally accepted standards of nursing practice.

· Administer medications, injections, and IVs

· Educate patients and family members about disease process, treatment modalities, medications, home care, procedures, and follow-up recommendations.

· Provide guidance and support to clinical staff in the performance of daily activities.

· Oversee and direct workflow of clinical staff.

· Assist in the preparation for Joint Commission, IDPH, and other regulatory inspections.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

· BSN or MSN

· Current CPR Certification

· 1-2 years med surg nursing experience; exp. with urology patients preferred.

· Epic or EMR experience preferred

· Basic computer skills

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to organize, and be self-motivated
