Expanding Automotive Manufacturing Supplier Company is looking to add a Sr. HR Generalist.

Senior Human Resources Generalist reports to HR Director and in general administers Training, Labor Relations, Coaching, Safety, Ergonomics and other Manufacturing plant related HR Functions:

Senior Human Resources point of contact for Employee relations – SR HR Generalist will work with managers and employees to resolve employee and labor relations issues and concerns - resolves conflicts, and provides coaching and counseling on human resources matters.

HR Management Support & Employee Support - Leads performance management activities, including employee development planning. HR Generalist will lead employee onboarding, job design and headcount forecasting.

Compensation Competitiveness Support - Senior Human Resources Generalist will facilitate compensation process by staying abreast of competitive compensation and Benefits practices.

HR Management Support & Employee Support - Leads performance management activities, including employee development planning. HR Generalist will lead employee onboarding, job design and headcount forecasting.

Human Resources and Company leadership in Benefits - HR Generalist will assist and contribute to benefits administration by partnering with - the contact and negotiate with health care and other benefits plans.

HR Procedure and Process Development - Manages administration of and adherence to human resources policies and procedures.

HR Leader in Training - Leads employee training & needs assessment, and participates in training activities on special projects.

Employee and Labor Relations - Ensures that the organization complies with labor laws (this is a non-union) facility.

Corporate Citizenship - Serve as the Company (and Human Resources) point of contact for community relations and charitable functions. Attend key events and economic functions with the State. Work with the state on employee matters and industrial, environmental and OSHA compliance.

Manage HR personnel - Serve as a Manager for a staff of 5 clerical and HR support personnel.

Job Requirements

Senior Human Resources Generalist

HR Administration

Automotive Manufacturing Supplier

BA / BS - in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field required.

Minimum of 7 years HR experience - experience in Human Resources required and prefer 10 plus years experience with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment with a non-union shop.

SPR / SPHR – certifications a plus (Society of Human Resources Professionals).

Benefits Design & Administration – Ability to negotiate as the HR point of contact on benefits programs including the design, cost structure - reduction and waste avoidance, and experience answering employee questions.

Compensation Administration – HR related compensation experience with the impact of pay decisions on internal equity and external competitiveness.

Diversity HR Management – Has HR related experience in implementing and administering policies related to diversity.

Labor Law – Possesses a good understanding of laws and practices affecting the relationship of employees – Provide HR guidance with a good understanding of employment laws.

Human Resources Data Management – Understands Human Resources information requirements. Able to perform data quality reviews and take corrective actions to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Employee Relations – Incorporates H.R impact of employee relations on employee effectiveness. Able to implement programs and tools that influence a positive organizational culture.

Safety and Environmental compliance - experience serving in HR as health and safety and representing the company in matters of compliance.

Corporate Citizenship, Community Relations, Corporate Communication – The company requires that he or she will be an outstanding communicator and represent the division president effectively, have exceptional interpersonal skills and understand how to represent a division of a Global company effectively at key state, county and city functions.
