POSITION PURPOSE (position summary):
Senior Property Accountant will prepare financial statements, general ledger reconciliation, tenant reconciliation, CAM/RET reconciliation, budgeting for assigned properties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare financial statements for assigned client’s properties.  Ensure accuracy in reporting.  Review general ledger accounts for accuracy.  Variance analysis.

• Other reporting as required by client.

• Bank reconciliation’s for all assigned properties.

• Cash projections for each client.

• Prepare budgets and CAM reconciliation’s for assigned client (s) properties.

• Participate in property meetings for all assigned clients.

• Reconcile tenant accounts as necessary.

• Assist the Controller in client relations and in the implementation of policies and procedures.

• Supervise preparation of 1099s.

• CPI calculations for assigned properties.

• Sales tax calculations for assigned properties.

• Other assignments as may be deemed necessary by superior.

• Timely follow up.

• Follows instructions and can adapt quickly to change throughout the day.

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience.

Experience:

• Commercial real estate industry experience.

Skills:

• Excellent Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office applications (excel and word). Advanced formatting skills and ability to create spreadsheets; including cell formatting and formula creation required.

• Yardi, MRI or Skyline experience a plus, but not required.

• CAM proficiency.

• Excellent communication and written skills required.

• Must Interact well with upper management/ executives, other workers and professional staff

• Must be well organized, cooperative and able to work in high volume and fast paced environment.

• Must be a “Team Player”.
