* Manages internal systems to track project budgets, scopes, and schedules throughout the duration of the project. Manage the challenges of working with building code requirements and code compliance of contract documents.

* Ensure project teams review design progress documents and construction contract documents at appropriate time intervals.

* Manage overall project schedules with the team to ensure that all issues are corrected in a timely manner.

* Participate in project construction meetings as needed to ensure project managers address all concerns in a timely manner.

* Review bids and recommend for approval design consultants and construction contractors.

* Approve construction contractor and design consultant pay requests.

* Manage all internal communications related to project scope and schedule with end users such as, but not limited to operations and maintenance, principals, QA/QC team, public relations/community relations.

* Monitor all Change Order and Fee Adjustments, and identify all Baseline Changes that require additional funds or scope changes.

* Ensure complete closeout of each project, including the receipt of as-built drawings from the contractor to the architect/engineer to ensure DPS receives complete and accurate documentation from the architects/engineers on each project. This shall also include the management and turnover of all warranties to internal DPS staff.

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of successful architectural or engineering experience and/or construction program and project management, involving both administrative and technical responsibilities. Minimum 3 years of experience as a project manager for the owner of a construction project. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access). Previous experience with Tririga is desirable, but not required.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or other appropriate field required. Master's degree preferred.

Certifications: Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license. Registration as licensed Architect or Professional Engineer preferred.
