We’re looking for someone who can do more than manage a DW for reporting.As a successful candidate for this role, you have led small functional teams, mentored more junior engineers and delivered high quality reliable service to business customers in rapid, agile manner.Twilio is a company built by developers for developers. You must not only have the past professional expertise to understand your team’s engineering and business challenges, but also the technical acumen to build great software.

Responsibilities:
This role is about delivering great products and providing true technical leadership.Create, maintain, own and operate your team’s services in production.Help evaluate and choose emerging DW/BI technologies… the right tool for the right task.Build and enhance the next generation of BI systems that are core to Twilio's operations.Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a professional software engineering environment.Provide leadership in an empathetic high-touch way. Coach and unblock developers on a daily basis. Provide technical mentoring. Review code. Encourage and teach them to drive to complete key objectives.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in large and complex production grade data warehouse systems.Solid enterprise grade data warehouse architecture and design experience.Broad knowledge of data warehouse systems, data management, ETL and Big Data technologies.Extensive experience with Python (ETL and web application development) and SQL.You've managed one or more production, distributed database clusters.Experience developing sophisticated high-performance real time and historical analysis, aggregation analysis and BI reporting.Proven track record as a tech lead for a team with 5+ members.Stellar communication and organization skills.Deep knowledge of agile software development processes.Enthusiasm for working in a high profile, fast-paced startup culture. - you are a DOer.Bonus points:You've worked with distributed comnar data stores like HBase or Dynamo.You have scaled MySQL for writes and for reads.You've built data warehouses in Amazon Redshift, and have opinions about what works and what doesn't.You've used Kafka to publish and consume data.You've developed BI reporting to SplunkBackground in data science, data mining, modeling, statistics and predictive analysis.
