And our Gettysburg Leadership Experience offering attracts diverse customers, including the United States Air Force and the diplomatic core from an emerging Middle Eastern country.KEY FOCUSCreate the strategic and conceptual underpinning of the leadership development practice at FCC Services. This will combine high levels of consulting and learning and development expertise (specifically in the area of leadership development) with the conceptual ability to understand key strategic drivers and encapsulate them into effective learning programs. The role will have managerial oversight of the leadership development suite of programs and will be responsible for selling and delivering programs/consulting services and achieving revenue and profit margin targets. This position will engage with executives, CEOs, directors, senior leaders and staff within the FCC Services client base, including the Farm Credit System and agricultural cooperatives and agribusinesses. Independently resolves problems and issues within scope of assignments. Uses knowledge of consulting, leadership development, classic and cutting-edge adult learning practices, and facilitation skills to carry out responsibilities. Collaborates with SVP of Organizational Effectiveness and with other FCC Services practice leaders to collaborate on strategic planning, sales strategies, cross-practice consulting/delivery as applicable, and sharing of individual expertise to grow the organizational effectiveness business unit.SCOPE OF POSITIONServe as the practice and managerial leader for the FCC Services leadership development practice and program leader for the annual Learning Conference and Executive Leadership Series. Manages, develops, markets, sells and conducts high-level consulting and delivery of significant leadership development programs. Program assignments include management and executive development, coaching and consulting in leadership. In conjunction with client steering committees and/or team members, designs and implements programs that are successful in driving improved leadership and business performance, focusing on current and future issues. Provides general direction to program design teams, meeting planning staff and other staff who participate in the delivery of leadership development programs and consulting services. Manages a small team of consultants and collaborates with the SVP of Organizational Effectiveness on the professional development and deployment of these resources across FCC Services practice areas as applicable.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESManagerial Oversightv Create the strategic and conceptual framework for major leadership development programs and follow this through to successful management and delivery of large projects and consulting services. Source and identify the best vendor/resources as appropriate and work jointly with them to deliver projects: managing them effectively and building strong working relationships.v Manage programs within the portfolio of the leadership development practice: responsible for managing vendors, budget and design of programs to ensure excellent quality and value. Work as required on consultancy projects, providing expertise and solutions to client base.v Manage direct reports ensuring their ongoing professional development.v Ensure the inclusion of the broadest range of diversity considerations to training and development delivery.Budgetingv Take an active responsibility for managing and reporting on practice area budgets.v Apply rigor to all program investments to ensure excellent value for money.v Be aware of the full extent of the financial and purchasing authority of the role, and ensure that this is exercised in accordance with directorate and financial parameters.Business Development, Client Relationships and Interfacev Maintain and enhance relationships throughout the Farm Credit System, agricultural cooperatives and FCC Services to achieve business plans; build client satisfaction and establish long-term partnerships.v Participate in the annual process of determining client needs and developing strategic marketing and operation plans.v Keep abreast of developments in the Farm Credit System and work with others to implement new and innovative approaches.v Forge strong links with key client contacts and secure and maintain executive management support and involvement in development activities offered by FCC Services. Consult and engage multiple stakeholders and be able to work with them effectively.v Prepare and where necessary present briefings and proposals to boards, executives and other stakeholders.v Conduct disciplined business development activities and document in the FCC Services CRM system; maintain positive relationships and monitor the quality of services with key accounts; facilitate resolution of problems.Program Management and Developmentv Manage, design, plan and conduct training and development programs.v Collaborate with other OE consultants and practice leaders to examine client needs and business trends, identify trends and areas of focus, and develop and integrate insights into program offerings across FCC Services practice areas as applicable.v Work with steering committees in defining program goals, themes, topics and objectives; evaluate formats for programs that complement the client and/or markets strategic initiatives.v In conjunction with internal staff, develop and maintain timelines for program development activities; communicate program needs to meeting planning staff.v Collaborate with marketing staff to develop marketing strategies and program materials.v Serve as the practice leader for a variety of leadership development programs.

o Conduct program evaluations, plan for enhancements, keep programs viable and fresh and on the leading edge of leadership development.

o Conduct benchmarking research, identify program trends and incorporate information into program management.

o Market, develop the pipeline and sell leadership development programs to clients.

o Expand participation in leadership development programs with existing and new markets.

o Facilitate program sessions and build strong connections in the content as participants advance through program levels.
