Commercial Healthcare Client Delivery and Business Development

You will work with a talented community of entrepreneurial Healthcare Consultants and Technical experts who design, build, and support robust niche services and solutions for clients in the payer and provider markets.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to demonstrate your strong track record in winning and delivering significant engagements within the Commercial Healthcare Sector and will utilize your skills of thought leadership, project management, strategy, and business development. You should have experience leading engagement work within a consulting firm, and be a specialist/subject matter expert in the healthcare sector. You should be able to lead and approach the market from a platform of individual credibility, based on established client relationships and thought leadership around key issues facing the industry. You would be located in the DC Metro/ Northern Virginia Area, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA or Richmond, VA and should demonstrate deep client networks in one of those locations. Alternate locations may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

* Manage all aspects of the sales lifecycle from account penetration, pursuit strategy, and contracting.
* Design, scope, and sell innovative, business solutions to prospects and clients via integration of services, solutions, and capabilities to meet their immediate and long term needs.
* Cultivate relationships across the Health community including Health Care Payers, Health Care Providers, Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals, and /or Public Health Associations that will lead directly to new business opportunities within the target market/account/region. Close new accounts and meet specific sales goals.
* Manage client and partner relationships to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities, and sell integrated solutions.

Client Management:

* Plan, manage, and serve in a hands-on delivery role for the effective delivery of end-to-end client work.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for Payer and/or Provider offerings for ICF’s Commercial Healthcare Practice
* Supervise multiple engagements, manage quality of service delivery and client satisfaction, and ensure appropriate cost structures.
* Perform project tasks in a supervisory role with direct client interface.
* Own the client relationship and partner as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Demonstrated current network of contacts across the Health community including Health Care Payers, Health Care Providers, Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals and/or Public Health Associations. Deep domain expertise, thought leadership and understanding of current & future trends in the commercial healthcare industry (payer and/or provider).
* Demonstrated success developing and sustaining large-scale, multi-million dollar business wins or programs in the commercial health arena.
* Health plan experience in areas such as Product Development, Underwriting, Membership, Claims, Customer Service, Network Management, Medical Management (Medicare and/or Medicaid) and/or provider experience in areas such as population health management, electronic health records, clinical data analysis, integration and interoperability, and accountable care organizations.
* Understanding of issues related to the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and the Public Health Care Exchange.
* Demonstrated ability to both sell and actively provide hands-on delivery client engagements.
* Demonstrated success selling opportunities to new and existing clients.
* At least 10+ years of successful consulting experience with a demonstrated track record of career advancement.
* Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Demonstrated current network of contacts across the Health community including Health Care Payers, Health Care Providers, Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals and/or Public Health Associations. (DC Metro, Chicago, Atlanta)
* Deep domain expertise, thought leadership and understanding of current & future trends in the commercial healthcare industry (payer and/or provider).
* Experience in working effectively with stakeholders in the technical and health arenas.
* 8+ years of experience in a service delivery consulting environment.
* Demonstrated ability to both sell and actively provide hands-on delivery client engagements.
* Demonstrated ability to build, mentor and motivate teams of staff.
* Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
