Investment Operations Analyst

The asset allocation for the funds is globally diversified and includes public and private equity, real assets, absolute return strategies, and fixed income. The funds are managed by the Office of Investments. The Office of Investments is currently seeking an Operations Analyst to become a key member of the team.

Position Summary
The Investment Operations Analyst will directly support the Investment Operations Staff, led by the Director of Investment Operations, on various aspects of investment operations and risk management. The Investment Operations Analyst reports to the Managing Director of Investments and interacts as needed with Investment Staff including the Senior Vice President/Chief Investment Officer, Managing Directors, and Investment Analysts, on performance measurement, operations and risk measurement items.

Responsibilities include:
• Calculate investment performance across all funds under the oversight of the Office of Investments including the Long-Term and Current Investment Programs
• Gather and organize manager data for senior staff on a monthly and quarterly basis, including organization and maintenance of files on shared server
• Perform reconciliations of valuations, cash flows and returns with managers and custodian on an on-going basis
• Assist Senior Investment Operations Analyst in administering existing investments and interacting with Finance and custodian bank to ensure timely and accurate transactions
• Maintain cash flow schedules
• Work with custodian bank to ensure that the custodian receives all account level details. Responsible for quality control and monitoring of deliverables
• Work with Finance to facilitate monthly mark-to-market reporting
• Assist Senior Investment Operations staff with annual audit process
• Work with Senior Investment Operations staff to complete subscription and redemption documents and account opening requests
• Complete quarterly peer performance survey and collect underlying data for analysis by Senior Investment Operations staff
• Serve as back-up for Executive Assistant when required including phone management, scheduling, mail organization, billing, meeting logistics, and other tasks as assigned
• Other duties as required

Key Criteria
• Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in Finance, Accounting, or business/technical-related field preferred
• One to three years of investment operations, custodial banking, fund administration, accounting, or investment manager back-office experience preferred
• Excellent computer skills including strong excel capabilities required
• Accuracy, attention to detail, strict adherence to deadlines, and advanced problem-solving skills required
• Effective time management and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task required
