Job Title Vice President, Annuity Marketing
Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic direct marketing plans to achieve AARP Annuity Program sales objectives by leveraging media channels that include Direct Mail, Print, Collateral, Telemarketing and Internet. Provide leadership to marketing staff and activities, and facilitate the development and testing of products and services that meet corporate and client objectives. Additionally, oversee all AARP Life Insurance Program retention activities, developing strategic marketing and premium collection activities to maximize in-force revenue and persistency.
Provide leadership to marketing staff and activities, collaborating with strategy, production and creative teams to develop and implement sales and retention plans.
Plan and execute strategic marketing tests in all key channels to increase sales, revenue and profitability.
Provide strategic leadership, planning and structured oversight to a variety of telesales efforts designed to increase sales, conversion and retention outcomes.
Work with Actuarial/Compliance departments to develop new products that meet growth objectives.
Collaborate with Member Services, Systems, Finance, and Compliance to achieve business goals. Communicate across the organization to ensure that all areas are informed and prepared for new initiatives.
Develop annual plans and forecasts to achieve sales and revenue growth objectives. Develop pro formas, proposals and presentations to gain senior management approval for new marketing, product and retention initiatives.
Develop annual budgets, manage expenditures, and report on variances in compliance with operational procedures.
Participate in planning and review sessions, and produce monthly, quarterly and annual business reports and plans as required.
Produce specific corporate premium targets within approved marketing cost parameters.
Study industry, competition, program and market trends to identify and develop new sales growth opportunities. Maintain perspective on telesales industry developments and best practices.
Communicate plans throughout the Tampa Operation to insure that all areas are aligned with and prepared for new initiatives.

Required Qualifications 10+ years of direct response marketing experience with broad knowledge of sales channels, creative processes, production, and team leadership.

Deep knowledge of consultative selling process for call centers, including call structures, scripting, customer engagement, and performance metrics.
