As part of our dynamic PR and Sales team, you'll have the opportunity to shape our brand narrative and drive media engagement internationally.
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic PR Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the VP of Sales and Public Relations, Director of Sales, and PR Manager to execute strategic PR initiatives and enhance brand visibility. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the VP of Sales & PR and PR Manager to develop and implement proactive PR strategies.

Contribute innovative ideas and campaigns responsive to market trends in travel, food, and interior design.

Liaise with the Marketing team and hotel General Managers to identify and develop press-worthy stories and campaigns.

Act as a positive brand ambassador for Firmdale Hotels.

Manage the PR inbox, including responding to press, blogger, and filming requests in a timely manner.

Coordinate press stays and oversee show rounds for media professionals.

Maintain media databases, including updating details in Roxhill database and managing internal databases.

Create and manage media lists and editorial calendars.

Assist in maintaining press kits, writing and editing press releases, and managing the press image library.

Monitor media coverage, including scanning press mentions, collecting online clippings, and obtaining international printed clippings.

Distribute press coverage to relevant properties and teams.

Coordinate and book creative workshops for three New York hotels.

Ensure the website is updated with current activities and press releases.

Assist in sending images to approved requests.

Support in organizing press events, including managing invites and attendance.

Prepare weekly PR reports and project reports, analyzing data and saving content for future reference.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.

2+ years of experience in PR, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in media monitoring tools and databases.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
