Job Description:
Sherpa 6, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Network Integrator in support of the US Army’s Program Executive Office Soldier (PEO Soldier), Program Manager Integrated Visual Augmentation System (PdM IVAS). Their flagship, state-of-the-art Tactical Cloud Package (TCP) requires you to be able to solve problems, think outside of the box, and be a self-starter. The Network Integrator will work closely with other directorates within PdM IVAS and various other programs throughout the Department of Defense on all aspects of PdM IVAS’ Tactical Cloud Package, enhancing the program’s overall mission.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive network integration support to a virtual and live integrated tactical network.
- Facilitate the integration of the cutting-edge technologies fielded to the US Army Warfighter. Work hand in hand with various technology laboratories around the country, you will ensure the networks are compatible and optimized.
- Assist the TCP Lead on planning support and integration of IVAS with other ITN mission command, tactical radio, and cloud systems.
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Administer Linux and other server systems.
- Devise plans and drive execution of each phase of the contract objectives and projects.
- Identify network improvements and innovations with emphasis on configuration management down to the Configuration Item (CI) levels.
- Perform quality control checks and configuration audits ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of the communication systems, tools, and products including regress testing on new software releases.
- Monitor the NETCOM Cyber Tasking Orders for vulnerabilities that may affect IVAS. Test and recommend fixes of vulnerabilities to the Change Control Board (CCB).
- Clearly and effectively communicate system capabilities and functionality to individuals not familiar with the topic.
- Evaluate the engineering costs to identify efficiencies and improved ways of delivering technical service to the customer.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively brief senior level government stakeholders.
- Plan and conduct analysis/research, design/development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer/program specifications.
- Serve as a key component to a technical management team consisting of uniformed, government and other contractor personnel.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology related field of study with a network engineering focus, or 4+ years of relevant work experience within the DoD or a related field.
- 5-8 years proven experience working on DoD tactical networks (RF, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN).
- Experience designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
- CompTIA certifications: Minimum Sec+
- Working knowledge of the TAK suite (ATAK, WINTAK, TAK Server)Ability to configure, support, and troubleshoot computers, networks, and servers (DNS / DHCP / Web / NTP).
- Windows AGM administration
- Superior communications and written skills.
- Military experience or knowledge of standard tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Solid experience problem solving system and network design issues.
- Familiar with RDT&E across different Government Organizations.
- Familiar with Government procurement processes.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Active DoD secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Preferred Experience:
- Microsoft Certifications: MCSA, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate.
- Cisco certifications: CCNA
- CompTIA certifications: CASP or CISSP
- Knowledgeable of Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) Radios.
- Strong experience with the Integrated Tactical Network architectures and network hardware configurations.
