Products & Services
Host Hotels offers a multi-branded portfolio of luxury hotels. The company partners with major brands such as Sheraton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Hilton, The Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, and Marriott. In total, Host Hotels owns more than 100 properties in the United States and internationally. The company attributes its success to its approach of acquiring upscale hotels in difficult to duplicate locations.
Host Hotels & Resorts was formed in 1993 when Marriott Corporations divided its operations into two separate companies—Host Marriott Corporation and Marriott International, Inc. After the split, Host Marriott opted to specialize in the ownership of full service hotels while it moved away from the limited service, senior living, and food and beverage operations. In 1998, the company began aggressively acquiring luxury hotels that included brands like Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt, and Sheraton. In 1999, Host became a Real Estate Investment Trust.
Host Hotels & Resorts is a public company traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol HST. Career opportunities at Host Hotels are available in various fields, including Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Business Management, among others. Students and new grads are encouraged to apply for internships and entry-level positions.
