Simply Hired Brings Paid Job Listings to Bloggers, Web Sites with Job-a-matic

Six Apart, FeedBurner, O’Reilly and Prominent Bloggers Join Publisher Network

Mountain View, CA — January 24, 2007 — Simply Hired (www.simplyhired.com), which operates the world's largest job search engine, today introduced Job-a-matic (www.simplyhired.com/publishers), a service that connects the audiences of blogs and Web sites with the job boards, employers and recruiters that are eager to reach them.

Job-a-matic offers popular Web properties opportunities to monetize traffic that are both lucrative for them and valuable to their readers. Members of the Job-a-matic publisher network can easily add Simply Hired’s paid job listings to their sites, tapping a database of more than five million listings to present their visitors with compelling job options. Publishers can also sell paid listings directly to companies that want to promote jobs to the targeted audiences they deliver.

Bloggers and publishers that have joined the Job-a-matic publisher network include:
• Marketing expert and technology visionary Guy Kawasaki (http://blog.guykawasaki.com)
• Search engine guru John Battelle (http://battellemedia.com)
• HR industry wit Joel Cheesman (http://www.cheezhead.com)
• Media maven Jeff Jarvis (http://www.buzzmachine.com)
• Technology content innovator O’Reilly Media (www.oreilly.com)

In addition, Simply Hired will partner with blogging technology leader Six Apart (www.sixapart.com) to offer Job-a-matic to users of TypePad, Six Apart’s popular hosted blogging service. TypePad users will be able to add paid job listings to their sites through the TypePad Widget program. Six Apart will actively promote Job-a-matic to this large, diverse blogger community, enabling publishers large and small to derive more revenue from their blogs.

Simply Hired will also partner with FeedBurner, Inc (www.feedburner.com), the leading provider of media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. Through this alliance, FeedBurner will market Job-a-matic to its network of more than 318,000 customers. Publishers will be able to promote the paid job listings they add via the FeedBurner’s popular FeedFlare service, which will include a call to action within content feeds to drive readers to explore job listings.

“Simply Hired’s Job-a-matic enables Web publishers to connect the targeted audiences they’ve developed with the employers, job boards and recruiters who want to engage with them," said Gautam Godhwani, CEO of Simply Hired. “These talent seekers are very willing to pay for such access – especially given that they can reach passive candidates. This intense demand for talent is creating whole new ways for Web publishers to monetize, and we’re excited to lead the market by providing publishers with these new capabilities."

“TypePad bloggers produce some of the best and most popular blogs around, and they deserve to be rewarded for the work they put into their blogs," said Michael Sippey, vice president and TypePad general manager for Six Apart. “Together with Simply Hired, we can now provide our members with an entirely new way to monetize their blogs. Job content is information that blog readers will truly value, so our members can boost both their revenue and the loyalty of their audiences by joining the Job-a-matic publisher network."

“We’ve developed one of the most concentrated collections of alpha geeks on the planet," said Mike Hendrickson, vice president and open technology exchange general manager. “Through Job-a-matic, we can now offer our audience not only rich technical information, but also a targeted selection of jobs. With this partnership, we’re adding content that is highly relevant to our users and monetizes well – a winning combination."

“FeedBurner helps the Web’s top bloggers and commercial publishers promote, deliver, and profit from their online media," said Don Loeb, vice president of partner services at FeedBurner. “Job-a-matic represents a new revenue-building opportunity for our publishers who currently distribute 30 million media subscriptions each day. We look forward to providing customers with free promotional tools and widgets to help them maximize their earning potential."
