Simply Hired the Newest Member of Fox Interactive Media’s SpringWidgets Platform
Job Search Made Even Simpler Through New SpringWidgets for the Desktop, MySpace and Beyond
Mountain View, Calif., -- February 13, 2007 – Simply Hired today announced the launch of the new Simply Hired widget developed with Fox Interactive Media’s SpringWidgets platform (http://www.springwidgets.com), The widget enables job seekers to add personalized job searches to their MySpace profile or blog and desktop. Among the widget’s notable features, cautious job seekers can use a “panic" button that turns the widget into a clock so that the boss won’t know they are looking for a job.
“We have been pleased with the momentum of our widget platform since launching late last year," said Dan Strauss, VP of FIM Labs. “The Simply Hired widget is another great example of how SpringWidgets can empower consumers."
In November, FIM Labs announced SpringWidgets – a first-of-its-kind widget platform allowing developers to create widgets that worked both on the desktop and the web and enabling consumers to easily drag and drop from one location to the other. At launch, SpringWidgets announced partnerships with IGN.com, FOXSports.com and MyFox local station Fox 6 in Birmingham, AL.
“The launch of the Simply Hired widget is yet another tool for job seekers to have in their arsenal when hunting for their dream job," stated Simply Hired CEO Gautam Godhwani. “With over 5 million jobs, our database is constantly being updated as employers add new jobs. With the Simply Hired widget, job seekers can be one step ahead of their competition by having the most current results at their fingertips."
Information about the SpringWidgets platform; the developer API and toolkit (SDK); and upcoming SpringWidget releases are all available at the SpringWidgets site (http://www.springwidgets.com). The new Simply Hired widget is available now in the SpringWidget Widget Gallery (http://www.springwidgets.com/widgets) or at: http://www.springwidgets.com/simplyhired.
