The company enforces a 12 hour work day, sometimes up to 6 days a week depending on backlog of orders. When the work slows down in certain seasons, you may be dropped down to 8 hours a day and even made to take some days off. They pay little to compensate for the fact that most people will bring in much more through the overtime, but once the work slows down many people have to turn in PTO hours to compensate for the missing pay, which on an 8 hour days does not afford the employees the ability to live in the same city in which they work. The offered better medical plans, free food from vending machines they installed, but the lack of potential advancement, 12 hours shifts at awful hours of the day (3am start or 9pm end), and management that does not care for its own employees, makes this company hard to stay with for any lengthy duration of time. If you need to build up cash fast, it can help with that, but always be looking for the next place to work at while here.

There is a lot of opportunity to learn and grow with this company. There is no shortage of work in the rapidly growing industry manufacturing insulated metal panels. The benefits are great. If you want to get plenty of overtime, this company is for you. This is also a bad thing too, working 12 hours M-F and 8 hours on every other Saturday with no end in sight doesn't leave much room for a home life. There also seems to be a disconnect with management and employees where management has catered more towards providing the wants of the employees rather than the needs. Management should be more focused on providing consistentcy in safety standards, training, company policies, and structure.

The company has an amazing ethos to it and has plans for many great things. It is experiencing some growing pains and will continue to unless they're ready to make the step up from a smaller workforce to a larger one. The environment in the office is both very relaxed but also high stakes. There's flexibility in almost all aspects but the expectations they place on individuals can be overwhelming. There's a very large expectation of overtime but it's not "mandatory overtime" but it's expected of you. The team is very close-knit and almost like a family but you may end up seeing them more than you see your own actual family...

The job overall isn't a bad job. Managers there seem to not know anything about anything and expect you to make the standard when the company has been around for some time. Pay isn't good its only good because you are forced to work 60+ hours a week sometimes with no breaks. I worked there for almost 4 years since the building was purchased and they do is use you for talents that came from other places and you will never been seen for over achieving or even be compensated for it. It's a job I guess.

Huge safety overnights and operators running machines and lifts intoxicated.

Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Regular forced overtime to make up for huge mistakes during the week.

12 hour days, often with no lunches unless you eat at your workstation. Lots of downtime because of poor communication between zones.

there is always conflict and disregard between labor and management

there is a huge disregard between the labor and management as well as between temp and perm workers

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
it was feast or famine. too much work and you might work 7 day weeks, or too little and the facility would shutdown for a bit. sometimes a whole month.

Work hours constantly change on the production line, which is where most of the employees work. You never really know what hours your going to be working. Favoritism is shown towards the people in the front office by management. Pay is low for how quickly they want you to work and learn. Highest turnover rate I've ever seen in a company. I don't even bother learning peoples names. Promises of having the weekend off are usually not kept. Family time is non-existant if you're on second shift. The list goes on and on.

They make a great product, when they can get it right.  Good pay, but takes it's toll on you with frustration. 

Poorly managed:  management talks the talk without walking the walk. Things don't improve because supervisors don't get managerial support, associates not held accountable.

Take it if you can get it; they use and toss temps like crazy, seems hard to get hired on permanent.  Good pay, benefits just OK for the size of the nationwide operation.

this place is so worried about saving a dollar that they let the equipment go to down and then they want to blame maintenance.
not a person at the plant will take ownership of anything good or bad. they change your hours so often you cant plan anything and you work so much your family forgets who you are. managment has no integrity. this is the farthest thing from teamwork that i have ever seen.

Had really thought this would be a great opportunity but ended up being a waste of time and effort management is non existent and the other workers are rude and disrespectful and disgusting spitting tobacco products anywhere they want it’s was enough to make me sick a few occasions. There was no training nor was there a real management structure. Like I said a waste of time.
