Overall Reviews at CARVANA
Accounts Payable Clerk | Tempe, AZ | May 25, 2020
Values in which no one follows. Management operates by instilling fear. Ultimatums are constant. No consistency in schedule. No upward mobility. Look elsewhere

It was a nightmare
Carvana does not help in arbitration cases they just try to get the person who brought the charges to quit...would be a great place if it wasnt for bad management
Customer Advocate | Tempe, AZ | Apr 5, 2019
Do not work for this company if you value your sanity
This company pretends to be customer-centric but all you do is screw customers after selling them terrible vehicles. Although you are provided training when you start in any position in the company, you work with outside advocates with little to no training and any time you bring that up to leadership you’re made out to be a complainer. Leadership does not take constructive criticism well at all and they promote from within based on nepotism and favoritism and not on performance. Everything is about maintaining an image of togetherness and congruency but under the surface it’s pure chaos. There is mandatory OT and they hand out “points” for lateness and use of unscheduled PTO. Working at Carvana is like working in a fishbowl. Everyone who isn’t in the inner circle is treated like a child and there is no accountability in terms of how the leadership team is handled when they make mistakes. It is a brutally stressful environment and working for this company made me feel like a terrible person. I had to quit just for my own mental health. Please do not work for this company. I know the pay and benefits seem worth it but in the long run they aren’t.
ProsFree food and fun activities
ConsMicromanaging, poor treatment of employees, lack of opportunity for growth, stressful, and overall bad company practice

Great Values, Good Idea
If you are coming in as an advocate go through that line for promotions. Going outside of the Advocate role, you will lose all of the company values , and your thoughts and opinions on how to better processes will be brushed off. There is no growth outside of the Customer Service departments.

Operations Associate | Tempe, AZ | Jan 4, 2020
Not worth the mental stress. I would never recommend anybody to work here. There is a childish culture that prevents
anything from getting done yet write ups are given when stat goals aren’t met. The management shows absolutely no interest in working with their teams to grow.
Transporter | Delanco, NJ | Feb 12, 2019
Great Place !
Everything was as promised and everyone did/does as much as possible to help you succeed. For Transporter position you have to understand that it is different than any other trucking job one may have had before! Car hauling takes time to master and in the beginning it is hard to grasp but willing person can become professional and learn it in around 6 month! Ask questions during your interview and make sure what you are applying for is something that you are able to do! Routes and schedule are based on driver seniority so it will take time to get schedule and route you want. If you need assistance both drivers and managers are more than willing to help and assist.
ProsManagement and coworkers and entire company are awesome!
ConsNone so far !

Decent place to work. Good advancement and pay. They are willing to hire from with-in. So you can advance quickly. They look more towards the final goal.
