DaVita is a decent company
I enjoy DaVita as a whole. I dislike that you are unable to move up and forward within the company. Overall, its a decent company to work for. Attending to patients needs is the best part of the job.

Not at this time
I choose not to give a review at this time as I am not 100 percent separated from the company. They have extended my employment for a few weeks therefore I will refrain from giving a company review.

Ok to work for !
Depending on who is your manager. You can really enjoy working at Davita ! If u get a bad manager it will be hard to enjoy work. They don’t pay a lot and require the techs to do so much work.

fun and productive company
Fun and productive company wherein you get to work as a team. Educating patients as well, making them understand the importance of hemodialysis treatment.

Flexible
I worked as acute RN at Davita in the hospitals and my days and hours were flexible. We did different dialysis modalities and it was a great opportunity for me.

UnderStaffed
Direct care employees worked well together however, it was always a 6-1 ratio. We were always understaffed except when someone higher up was visiting.

Great flexibility in hours, no promotion opportunities
Overall a good company but they only promote people with masters and Ivy League grads. Most frustrating part of this company is that they are inconsistent with paying fair value to people. They give salaries based on subjectivity rather than objectivity.
ProsGuaranteed annual raise
ConsNo growth opportunities

Questions And Answers about DaVita

Why did you leave your job at DaVita?
Asked Mar 20, 2017
Too many political games and favoritism....Unprofessional and Goofy...Inappropriate conversations and comments...The office environment standards could easily be surpassed with a class of first graders...they have practiced manners...Awful...Terrible experience...Very traumatic...
Answered Mar 10, 2020
There is no organization for New trainees. The staff is loud, ghetto and very unprofessional. They are short staff and the work hours are unpredictable.
Answered Dec 21, 2019
Do they give out raises ?
Asked Apr 2, 2016
They say that the $1.00 per hour is approved and will be on the next paycheck on the 10th of never. Don’t hold your breath. You train new teammates and you can’t get connected to submit for the payment. Davita only cares about their money, the staff cares about the patients and that is why we stick around.
Answered Mar 22, 2020
No raises are given to anybody. More is taken out of your payroll, rather than given to you.
Answered Nov 26, 2019
What is the schedule like? How many days per week? How early and how late? Weekends? Holidays?
Asked Mar 9, 2016
Completely random. On call 24/7 Mon-Fri according to manager but not according to any written policy. Basically you need to be available 4am to 9pm Monday - Saturday but you will only be paid for hours worked. Except early morning "emergency calls" nearly every single day which you will not be paid for in violation of labor laws.
Answered Sep 27, 2019
Shift started at 4:30am, ended at 8pm. Was the only nurse for 48 patients a day. Impossible job.
Answered Apr 28, 2019
What is the interview process like?
Asked Mar 20, 2016
Can be one on one with the FA or another individual, you also get phone screened by the recruiting team.

Challenging but fun

What advice would you give the CEO of DaVita about how to improve it?
Asked Dec 8, 2016
MY advice? You need system in place to really investigate the complaints; instead of passing them around in an effort to save certain leadership's jobs...you lose valuable teammates this way..It is blantantly bias....I was severed from Davita...not fired!!!! Due to an incident involving a Manager...People Services were terrible in the handling of my complaint. Everyone was hostile towards me. It was disgusting...I gave seven committed years ro Davita and was pushed out...Seniors were changing my time; especially during my lunch times... I was a very highpeformer and it was discouraged and unreconized for years...Around the time I returned to ithe office...Worst mistake of my life...the juvenile atmosphere was sickening....
